"I don't agree with what they want me to buy or what they want to sell to people": Pochettino attacks Barça

"I don't agree with what they want me to buy or what they want to sell to people": Pochettino attacks Barça

The United States coach has shown himself to be in total disagreement with the management of Barça.

Current coach of the United States national team and Espanyol coach from 2009 to 2012, Mauricio Pochettino took a swipe at FC Barcelona on Josep Pedrol's show "El Cafelito." " People always tell me, 'We'll see, if Barça offers you a job, we'll see what you think.' I can tell you that I wouldn't coach Barcelona," the Argentinian coach initially said before justifying his comments.

"I always try to explain things, without offending anyone... They say that Barça is more than a club. What does that mean? That you have to instill certain ideas in children? I think Barcelona is wrong. Every football team has its culture and Barça is a great club, but I don't share what they want me to buy or what they want to sell to people. I think Espanyol is a much more independent club and much more Catalan, much more Catalan, than Barcelona," the coach concluded. It remains to be seen whether FC Barcelona was really interested in signing the former Tottenham Spurs manager.
